Prabhupada: intense japa painting, by Rudradeva das. Iskcon devotional art

Rudradeva says: This facial portrait is rendered from a cropping of a famous photo of Srila Prabhupada sitting on the floor in lotus position, chanting on his japa beads. The photo that this is painted from is one of the best examples of the spiritual founder of the Hare Krsna Movement, intensely absorbed in his private meditation of chanting The Lord's Holy Names, and this was very inspiring for me to want to paint him in this mood of deep concentration and seriousness.
